I will let everybody know what I think about the SLP. Just praying that it will be nice over the weekend to install them. Plus I may just put a video up so all can hear the SLP

Talking

Hey guys I just installed the SLP loud mouth axle backs today. And they sound pretty good. They are louder than the factory exhaust but not as loud as I thought they was going to be. I am not complaining on the sound don't get me wrong. I am just glad they was not to loud and the neighbors would be complaining LOL. Not like I give a **** what they think, I have to but up with there noise at least they can put up with the exhaust from the mustang LOL...

I am considering Borla, and Flowmasters.I had Flowmasters on my 93 lx and liked the way they sounded, but they are so loud and not sure if that is the way I want to go.I would appreciate any input anyone has on the Borla catbacks. If you still get the deep growl, resonance, stuff like that.Thanks.

FWIW...
I've got the Borla axle-backs. I don't know if there is much/any difference in sound between them and the cat-backs, but I can tell you the axle-backs have a very deep sound (which was why I chose them). After listening to numerous exhaust comparisons on YouTube, I decided I liked the deep, powerful sound of the Borlas best. On the down side, they do resonate very loudly when the RPM's hit a certain point. That can get really annoying if you're climbing a grade and can't shift into a higher gear for a while. Fortunately the sound dies away as the RPM's increase. Overall, I'm glad I got the Borlas.

Dual straight pipes with no mufflers has a nice deep rumble. any tips for taking out the cats tho? or would i lose too much back pressure and the car wouldn't run right?
