Smile Installed K&N Performance Air Intake System

I've been thinking of installing a cold air intake system on my GT for a while. I didn't want the hassle (and potential problems) of reprogramming the computer, so I decided on the K&N system.

I found a seller on eBay who accepted a "best offer" of $229.00 with free shipping, which I thought was reasonable after comparing prices all over the internet.

I installed it last night in about 2 hours. It was somewhat frustrating because the instruction sheet supplied by K&N was difficult to work with. Not only was the exploded parts diagram small and difficult to see, some of the steps for installing some of the parts were completely missing, and one photo actually showed an "L" bracket installed the wrong way in the picture. I'm no car expert, but I finally managed to muddle my way through it and get all the parts in (I think) the right places... LOL!

After I finished, I took the car out for a test ride. I can't honestly say I noticed any difference in performance, but I'm hoping the additional horsepower (which K&N claimes is guaranteed) will result in better gas mileage. I don't plan to alter my driving style, so I'm waiting to see if my mileage improves at all.

looks good on there, I am going with one myself but a BBK one. Both of these you don't need to program them when installed. But I will be taking mine in to get it tuned after it's installed. I think then you will the extra power will show.
